Maximum Football 2020 releases later this month. It honestly compares to late Xbox/early 360 graphically but it actually has depth and customization unlike Madden. Honstely when your only game in Madden 21 coins town it’s not like anybody has a choice just I’m just glad madden did not need to stick around and see his title butchered. Unfortunately Madden & FIFA are games that are review-immune because of combination of licensing / casual market reach. I get the impression Avengers will also fall into this category. The NFL & FIFA respectively don’t require enough flak with this. They must see that their audience is not happy but don’t switch to non-exclusive licensing anyhow. Past year’s I ceased playing per month in I’d the EA pro left until yesterday I didn’t reup.
EA delays Madden NFL 21 reveal trailer in solidarity with BLM protests
It is a logical decision by EA. Even if they’re only after political points. The NFL and Madden have a sizable African American fandom, along with being essentially a US exclusive merchandise with minimal international appeal. Not the best time to fall info when one of your largest demographics & just market is to literal fire. From an advertising/marketing stage, theyve done this numerous times (smaller scale) for Battlefront 2. The CM said theyre looking to make the most spalsh as you can. If folks are out protesting = less viewers. And furthermore, lower online participation. On most social websites it’s impossible to discuss anything but the protests right now. They want people talking about the reveal but that could be drowned out by the much larger news right now.
Yeah, but they could have just as easily said”because of increasing tensions” or even delayed without mentioning anything. Consumers see EA for some of the dumb shit they do with games that they develop and publish, but they don’t see what they do for triggers like equality and office diversity (they’ve ever been given in multiple years). They are actually super progressive internally and should be praised for that. It is simple to be skeptical about this kind of thing, but they may just have easily avoided making a statement. Yo, thanks for sharing that information. That is awesome on EA’s part. Regardless of how folks feel about their games we ought to praise them for their innovative actions. I’m surprised that I’m simply NOW hearing about this. I really wish the gambling community would step up and start caring a lot more about things like this.
Same would happen if it had been Epic or Activision. In case CDPR, Valve or some other beloved company did exactly the same, comments would be wholly different. Edit: Sony did exactly the same and the overall reception on those comments are mostly positive. Stay fresh, Reddit. I don’t think so. If their main customer base is African American is doesn’t make sense to advertise to them at the moment. As they won’t be spending at this time, as games isn’t on there minds at this time. Not about respect imo. More or less they not moving to the stores immediately to make purchases. Now using marketing they can utilize this as a show of solidarity with that marketplace. A wonderful gesture, but aren’t these the very same men and women who censored Colin Kaepernick’s title out of a song in a few of the previous Madden games?
I will preface this by stating I do not think it’s a bad thing for them to bring awareness to this issue. It’s significant that it can’t just be dismissed by taking a look from it. With that said, I do hold a certain amount of distrust towards multi-billion buck multinational corporations paying lip service to significant social issues. They’re in the best possible place to do more than simply put out a press release or public statement. Obviously, as a philosophical business they’re under no duty to do so, and it rings hollow when they try to stand in cheap Madden nfl 21 coins solidarity with the common people. Currently there are companies out there that are doing things and this is the time to emphasize those attempts; to show that they’re more than just words.
